Die Starwood Hotels & Resorts beendet ihren Betrieb im Sheraton München Airport Hotel zum 30. Juni 2016. Die Management-Vereinbarung mit der Arabella Hospitality SE, Pächterin des Hotels, wird nicht verlängert. Starwood arbeite derzeit daran, einen reibungslosen Übergang für Mitarbeiter, Gäste und Partner zu gewährleisten. Wie es mit der Immobilie mit ihren 170 Zimmern dann weiter geht, ist noch offen. Das Hotel ist seit 1991 in Betrieb, zunächst 20 Jahre lang unter dem Namen Arabella Airport Hotel. Seit 2011 hieß es dann als Sheraton München Airport Hotel unter Leitung der Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Die Kette verfügt in München über sieben weitere Hotels.
